Update 1
🚨 STORMING NASSER HOSPITAL
This morning Israeli forces stormed Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, a terrifying escalation after a 25-day siege. Soldiers are INSIDE while heavy tank + machine gunfire continues on. Echoing the al-Shifa hospital attack, Israel claims hostages are held in the hospital, based on so-called “credible intel” but no proof. Hamas fully refutes this claim.
Storming the biggest hospital in the south is a critical point in Israel’s attacks on healthcare.
300 medical staff, 450 patients & 10,000+ displaced are in the complex. Soldiers handcuffed all medical staff, preventing treatment and abducting many young Palestinians.
The hospital’s barely functioning; no food or water, limited medical supplies & electricity to run out in 48 hours.
Some managed to escape snipers while fleeing; but there’s nowhere safe to go. Israel continues bombing areas across the Strip as Palestinians are fleeing Rafah to other besieged areas in fear of the looming Rafah invasion.

Update 4

• Israeli protests on the Karem Abu Salem border crossing (only open Israel-Gaza crossing) intentionally halted the entry of aid trucks w/ flour, food & hygiene items into Gaza since Wednesday. Update 3
🚨Bombardment of Khan Younis continues to intensify as the siege of Nasser & al-Amal hospitals creates a dire situation for displaced Palestinians.
Nasser Hospital, the largest medical facility in Khan Younis, is in a complete electricity blackout; out of water & food; and lacking medicine, anesthesia & blood. Al-Amal Hospital can no longer operate in any surgical capacity as PRCS reports oxygen supplies have run out.
Forces have been opening fire at the vicinity of the hospitals - endangering the medical staff, patients, and the approx 7,000 displaced Palestinians seeking shelter.
Israel “justifies” this endangerment of civilians by the unsubstantiated claim that Khan Younis is now the HQ for Hamas. The IOF continues to issue orders of evacuation, including the hospitals, ignoring the hundreds of wounded who are unable to move. While those who are able are forced to walk towards Rafah through flooding and facing attacks from tanks, artillery shells & Israeli attack drones.

Update 2
• US, UK, Germany, Canada, Italy, Finland & Australia suspended funding from UNRWA, the UN agency formed to support Palestinian refugees. • Yesterday the DCIP v Biden case accusing Biden, Blinken, & Sec. of Defence of complicity in genocide, began in US courts – seeking an emergency court order to halt US support for Israel, incl. weapon transfers & unconditional backing
• Biden’s decreasing popularity is ever apparent as he’s consistently confronted by protestors at public events – Barak Ravid notes Biden wants less coverage of Gaza as elections near, as it hurts him “especially among young voters”
• Harsh weather has worsened living conditions for 1.3 million Gazans living in tents that are flooding & falling + many are without any warm clothes

Update 1
Good morning community
The ICJ will issue its provisional measures in 2 hours. It will be announced in a live hearing you can watch at tinyurl.com/watchicj 📺
We will send updates throughout and summarize after. In the meantime, brush up on your knowledge of the case via our post.
There are several scenarios for today. Al-Jazeera outlined them here: tinyurl.com/icjscenarios
Despite not being party to the proceedings (because it’s not a state), Hamas yesterday said it’d abide by a ceasefire ordered by the ICJ, if Israel does as well.
Israel is unlikely to accept an order for a ceasefire, but may follow orders regarding aid, safe zones, etc. Or at least it may claim that it will 🙄
The US won’t say if Israel should abide by an ICJ order (which is legally binding), indicating that the US will wait to see if it agrees with the verdict.
Remember that we’ll also be sending updates on our 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇪🇸 channels! See you in a bit.

Update 1
🚨 An Israeli attack on an UNRWA shelter west of Khan Younis housing tens of thousands of displaced people has caused “mass casualties”.
The artillery shelling set ablaze to parts of the center, with fire engulfing a building and several tents of displaced Palestinians. Several people are trapped inside, currently unable to escape the flames.
UNRWA spokesman Abu Hasna says “We have not been able to get in and from the compound in the last 48 hours because the Israeli tanks actually [were] very close to the compound”.
“We tried to coordinate the exit of the [people] there but did not succeed”.
Abu Hasna said this was far from the first time that an UNWA facility in Gaza had been hit but noted that it was “maybe the first time that we see such a huge fire”.
“People are screaming, crying, asking for help. We hope that we will not find so many people to have been killed”.
We don’t have many details; only reports that “dozens” have been killed and injured.

🇮🇹 Italy’s Foreign Minister revealed that Italy has halted all arms sales to Israel since October 7th!
